Living members of the order used the term "wearing" to describe themselves, as in "wearing the mantle". The tradition of the mantles is thought to descend from the [[Mantle of Immortality|Mantles of Immortality]] given to the [[Dracosage|Draosages]] in the [[Age of Myth]]. While Marconians were generally heavily at war with most [[Dragons|dragon]] flights they encountered, the Dracosages were still considered gods in their mythology.
