Facets are abilities which allow a character to use certain items or grant specific abilities. Facets may be traded by visiting a specific in-game NPC and providing the necessary items, however some facets may be reserved to a specific class.

Major Facets

Each class has 8 Major Facets associated with it that grant base abilities specific to that class. Minor Facets can be stacked atop these major facets to improve the basic abilities, but players may only take a total of 8 Major Facets. Major Facets are typically specific to a particular class, and other classes do not start with them. The exceptions being warriors and paladins, which share some otherwise specific facets, and the various magic classes.
