			In the centuries that followed, the Marcons continued to expend significant resources in an effort to retrieve all nine pieces. eventually, simply keeping them away from the Marcons became an end unto itself, and each piece was scattered around [[Aren]] in various well-hidden locations. This happened sometime before the Order of Wizard Breakers shifted into the more sinister [[Society of Assassins]]. The Society no doubt sought the armor for themselves.

			All nine pieces were found again during the [[Mage Wars#The Second Chaotic Period\|Second Chaotic Period]], where they began to be traded around by various free-lance battle mages. No one fighter ever managed to own all nine pieces, though each one was very powerful in its own right. Sometime around the start of [[Eieber's Long March]], at least 7 of the 9 pieces were hidden or placed out of reach in a deliberate, coordinated effort to keep them from falling into Eieber's hands. Only the left shoulder was known to exist by the start of the [[Ages#The Golden Age\|Golden Age]], and even that passed out of all knowledge.
