The Ring of Tarkier is a powerful mystical relic believed to have originated sometime during the [[Mythical Age]]. It is spoken of in the [[The Book of Lore]], but like most aspects of that volume, the true meaning has been lost to time.

==History==
===Mage Wars===
The ring was first mentioned in modern history during the [[Mage Wars]] in the [[Mage Wars#The First Chaotic Period|First Chaotic Period]], during the lifetime of [[Nathan Searlin]]. While his journals do not definitively state whether he ever owned it, they do mention it, and multiple secondary-sources indicate that it may have been at [[High Tower]].

During the [[Mage Wars#The Dynastic Period|Dynastic Period]], multiple large-scale conflicts were fought over possible locations of the ring, with the [[Marcon Alliance|Marcons]] alone conquering as much as 3% of their territory solely to access sites where they thought the ring might be. There are numerous accounts throughout history of various mages who supposedly owned the ring, but no primary sources.
