<p><b>New page</b></p><div>The Rescue-Return is a system used by [[Gudersnipe School]] to keep it's more valuable students alive. The exact mechanics are not made public, but through means of the [[GATE]] system, a student can be transported out of a bad situation from nearly anywhere in the [[verse]], and arrive safely back at [[Gudersnipe]] School.<br />

The system is not without its faults, however. It is intended to only trigger in the event of a "sudden" death, and still only has around an 80% success rate. This is of course better than the 100% mortality rate that NOT having it would cause. <br />
<br />
Few students ever survive the entire term and distinguish themselves without ever using the return system, and accomplishing this feat is one of the pre-requisites for the Star Student citation. <br />
