	The craft has 4 engines for sublight and a hyper drive, but they mostly use jump gates to get around because their hyper drive isn't very good. The story-world for this novel is a fairly generic pulp science fiction universe. Spaceships exist and are affordable, replicators, transporters. Its not a direct rip from star trek, but there is not a lot of depth. I will still develop the world extensively and may write other stories in it's continuity.
