	The Geological Survey was originated by a division of the [[Crimson Blade]], and was refereed to simply as 'the geological survey'. When the program was placed under the jurisdiction of the school, it became the Gudersnipe School Geological Survey (GSGS for short). During the [[Kamian Succession Wars]] as various governments and powers joined in, standardizing their topographical information, it became known as the Gudersnipe System Geological Survey.
