The book was published mid-Age, slightly before the dissolution of the [[Altronis]] [[Corpocracy]], and purported to represent the favorite foods of [[Elvira Grimshaw]], co-leader of the [[Dark Order]]. Its authenticity remains in doubt, not least because most of the Dark Order operated only in secret, and the recipes themselves are inconsistent with the cuisines of the period.
