Medical care is a high priority to the Gudersnipe Foundation, and as such top-quality medical care is provided at the FOundation's expense to anyone. Doctors are usually civilians employed by the Foundation and hospital facilities have all equipment and supplies provided to them by the local garison. Buildings are usually constructed by the [[Gudersnipe Corps of Engineers]] with maintenance provided by local civilian contractors. Depending on the size, each hospital may have it's own maintenance staff.

Hospital structors are typically over-built, with rigid construction and defensible designs. Facilities are also build with tremendous capacities far beyond the needs of the local population. This is so that they may be used by Foundation soldiers in war-time.

The Gudersnipe Foundation, founded at the begining of the [[Second Chaotic Period]], is one of the dominant powers in the [[MultiVerse]]. The organization's name is often abrevated simply to 'The Foundation'. They are widely credited as one of the forces that ended the [[Mage Wars]]

==Basic Edicts==
The Gudersnipe Foundation is based around one very simple principle of peace through superior firepower. More precisely, by having the biggest guns they can keep everyone else from fighting. Though a millitary organization, the Foundation's ultimate goal is stable and functional societies.

==Organizational Structure==
The Foundation runs top-down using a millitary command structure. Various divisions use different rank systems, but generally speaking it depends on the venue. On planet-side only deployments the highest rank is General, but Generals typically answer to Admirals who command multiple star systems. There are varying ranks of admirals, but there is no single high commander. Instead, the Admiral Supreme Commanders answer to the [[Blind Consel]].

==System of Leadership==
The Foundation rules around a style of direct military leadership. In otherwords, towns and cities are administrated by a ranking officer with subordinates who follow his/her orders. There are no democratically-elected leaders and all the jobs are based on apoitnment. security is supplied by the [[Gudersnipe Millitary Police]], and nearly all public services such as [[schools]], [[hospitals]], roads, fire services, animal control, and the like, are operated by the Foundation.

The Mage Wars was a period of intence fighting that followed the [[Age of Darkness]] and preceeded the [[Golden Age]]. The Mage Wars lasted approximately 3700 years and saw the most intence fighting durring the Chaotic Periods.

==Dates==
All dates in the Mage Wars were established later and use the B.G.A or Before [[Golden Age]] system. So 1000 B.G.A. would be 1000 years before the first year of the Golden Age.

==The First Chaotic Period==
There is no established date for the begining of hostilities, but it is generally established that the transition from the [[Age of Darkness]] into the Mage Wars began around 3700 B.G.A.

Year B.G.A. 3570-3640 of the Age of Mages: as the power of Magic continues to grow, loose organizations of lesser-path magicians form. Called ‘Wizard Breakers’, these groups seek to take down those who would abuse the power of Magic by using it to enslave others. By the mid 3600’s, the dozens of rogue groups have formed a cohesive network, with limited resources but a high degree of skill.

Year B.G.A. 3528 of the Age of Mages: a new kind of power emerges, the power to re-animate dead tissue. The creator of this power, Rubiceye, gives it a name: Necromancy.

The power of Necromancy is actually based on reanimation technology developed by the Ancients in an effort to prolong life. The technology was incorporated into a second program designed to artificially give humans magical abilities. Rubiceye, who understood much more about magic than the Ancients did, was able to make their gene therapy work. Thus, the power of Necromancy is genetic, not learned.

Year B.G.A. 3410 of the Age of Mages: the very first recorded Mage Tower is constructed, and Chain Attack magic is perfected. The very face of the War is changed forever.

Year B.G.A. 3457 of the Age of Mages: the clandestine society called The Order of Wizard-Breakers begins to emerge, offering a wide array of skill-sets to anyone, for a price.

Year B.G.A. 3056 of the Age of Magic: what semblance of order pre-dates the Age of Mages comes to an end. Chaos becomes the new way of things as wizards via for supreme dominance over the multi-verse. This represents the officially recognized start of the Mage Wars as a conflict, and the point of no return as nations dive headlong into battle.

Year B.G.A. 3457 of the Age of Mages: the clandestine society called The Order of Wizard-Breakers has evolved from a mere collaboration of lesser-path mages and warriors into a sudo-religious cult of dark wizards and battling sorcerers. Their skills are still available for a price, but their allegiance is not.

The First Chaotic Period Ends: 2500’s, B.G.A.

Year B.G.A. 2512-2593 of the Age of Mages: the first stable multi-world governments begin to form. Throughout the entire history of the wars, the goal has always been to control more than one world, thus making the conquest of any single world child’s play, but this marks the first time in history during which it is known to happen. This time is called the '''Intermediate Period'''

==The Dynastic Period==
Year B.G.A. 1506 of the Age of Mages: The Marcon Alliance solidifies as a coalition of fifty-one Arch Magus’s, controlling massive armies and resources, and set the stage to become the dominant power in the Multi-Verse. Magus’s of the Marcon were known for being extremely misogynistic, reducing the women under their empire to little more than slaves. Subjects were organized into a rigid cast-system, with few rights to the lower casts, and no possibility of moving between them. The only acceptations were made for males who demonstrated magical affinity, all of whom were taken away from their families and homes and trained to work in the Mage Towers, increasing the Marcon’s power.

Year B.G.A. 538 of the Age of Mages: the M’KHaren cruise ship Frunala Maru is low with all hands aboard.

==The Second Chaotic Period==
Year B.G.A. 301 of the Age of Mages: Emerging out of nowhere, an army of battling sorcerers begins wrecking havoc on the forces of the Marcon Alliance, then the most powerful single force in the Multi-Verse. By capitalizing on the internal strife within the empire, the small force was easily able to gain ground. Within a year, the Marcon Alliance is broken. The power-vacuum created by this set into motion a series of events which brought about the downfall of every major tower-alliance in the Known Worlds, paving the way for the beginning of the end of the Age of Mages.

Year B.G.A. 74 of the Age of Mages: a group of wizards completes the forging of the magical sword they name Excalibur. Excalibur is created in an attempt to retrieve the original Excalibur and revive Camelot.

Year B.G.A. 63 of the Age of Mages: the Gudersnipe Army, a small but extremely powerful band of battling sorcerers, crushes the Order of Wizard-Breakers outright. They have grown powerful by this time, with roots running deep, but Laytami’s forces are stronger.

Year B.G.A. 6 of the Age of Mages: Excalibur is entrusted to Uther and the Order of the Slayer Dragons is founded. Draco presents the first ten Slayer Dragons with the special power that allow them to finally end the Mage Wars once and for all.

Year B.G.A. 2 of the Age of Mages: The armies of Uther and the Slayer Dragons prepare to do battle with those of Laytami Gudersnipe Savont. Instead of fighting, however, a truce is struck, on what would become known as the Day of Dawn’s Reflection.
